The identity protection service permits you to conceal your personal or business WHOIS information. By default, when you register a domain name, your registrant data becomes openly available for anyone to see. With the ID protection functionality activated, your info will be immediately hidden and the WHOIS query will return the domain name registrar's information instead of yours.
